Sunshine blog award

I am delighted to announce that I have been nominated for a Sunshine blog award, by the lovely and extremely talented Cat from Catswire Jewellery. Thank you, thank you! *mwah*

The Sunshine blog award is apparently 'awarded to bloggers whose positivity and creativity inspires others in the blog world. And as a nominee, it is my duty, nay, my pleasure, to nominate 12 bloggers who I think also deserve the award. And so, without further ado.....Mr Clooney, could you pass me the gold envelope please. Thanks, G-man. *winks*

And the nominees are.....*dramatic music*

Bugs and Fishes. Laura (a.k.a Lupin) creates beautiful colourful items from felt. Brooches, hair decorations, and even felt moustaches (handy if you want to disguise yourself for a while) can all be found on her blog. She has some serious felt skills, and I am very envious. *green*

JooJoo Speaking of serious skills....wow. Afi makes the most gorgeous, cute characters from polymer clay. The attention to detail is amazing, you really have to see them to believe the cuteness. I am the proud owner of a couple of them, and they are so amazing. And as if that weren't enough, she also produces beautiful illustrations as well. It's just not fair, is it? :-)

Handmade in Europe The small but perfectly formed Artfire Guild which promotes handmade items in Europe. This Guild is relatively new, but is an enthuasistic group of artisans who promote each others work, and have fun while doing it.

Woowork Yup, I mentioned Howie's blog in my last post, but seriously, you have to go and look at his work, it is amazing. I love his crochet work, his illustrations, the stories his items have, and the great photos/videos he makes.

Feltmeup Designs
Melanie is not only a fabulous felter who needle-felts amazingly cute birds, she is very helpful. I was whining on Twitter about my serious lack of needle-felting skills and she chatted away, offering loads of advice. Plus, she uses the phrase 'felt minions' on her blog - that's always a sign of a quality blogger. :D

Boo's Jewellery
Despite the name of the blog, it's not all about the jewellery. Although it could easily be, as this blogger makes beautiful pieces. She also takes some fabulous photos, and offers some great advice on improving your own photos, including some very helpful tutorials.

Artmind Artmind is the blog of the lovely Mitsy, who I had the pleasure of meeting last year at a craft fair. She creates fabulous art in clay, including a series of 'feelings' which is fantastic. And she also felts and crochets. And makes brilliant tutorials. Truly inspiring stuff.

Feeling Stitchy A bit of a cheat, as this blog is written by a group, rather than one person, but as far as inspiring, creative blogs goes, this is definitely a must. I defy anyone to read a few posts and not want to pick up a needle and thread to stitch something beautiful.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mr X Stitch Another cheat, as this blog is also written by a team. But it is another showcase for some amazing needlework art so I just couldn't miss it off my list.
DeriDolls I don't remember exactly how I found Deri's blog, but I do remember spending about an hour reading her posts and admiring her felt dolls. The attention to detail is simply stunning, and her dolls inspire me to continue to create felt characters, whilst making me green with envy.
For the Love of Cute
This blog gives you a daily dose of cute. It is 'curated' by Anna, who is the owner of The House of Mouse. All kinds of handmade goodies are featured here, but be warned, you *will* see things you simply must have. It is bad, so bad for your wallet.
Swirlyarts
Lynsey not only makes a fun and colourful of chicken doorstops (yes, really), she also recycles (upcycles?) old books and other printed items to make fabulous stationery, gift tags etc. I am the proud owner of a Richard Scarry notebook and envelopes.
OK, I think I may have worn out the word 'amazing' in that post. Humph. ;-)
