Having recently discovered the joys of Lucky Japanese cats or Maneki Neko as they are called, I stumbled upon another gorgeous Japanese character, the kokeshi doll. These are charming wooden dolls, painted in a variety of colours and patterns. So of course, I decided that I needed to make one in felt. And here she is:
Not bad for a first effort. I'm going to keep her for myself. I wanted to make some new stock for the shop today, but I couldn't get inspired. At least I managed to make something, even if it is just for me.
